The Machinist at our facilities plays a key role in the “Equipment Development Team”, which includes design, build, refurbishing of various manufacturing equipment and devices. We are looking for an individual who can operate with efficiency and creativity while maintaining an obsessive focus on safety and continuous improvement.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

ü  Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures

ü  Produce new parts of moderate to high complexity, modify and repair existing parts, and, using various machining equipment including Conventional and CNC lathes or mills, grinders, and drill presses

ü  Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

ü  Accurately interpret and utilize precision measurement devices, including OD and ID micrometers, depth micrometers, dial calipers and scales

ü  Practice continuous improvement and 6S, including facility housekeeping

ü  Capable of hand machining procedures such as drilling, tapping, deburring, and polishing

ü  HSM CNC programming proficiency would be beneficial, but is not mandatory

ü  Estimating time required to complete jobs in advanced based on review of drawings and instructions

ü  Achieve expectations to meet standard production efficiencies and quality

ü  Candidate is expected to use their own machinist hand tools and toolbox

Educational Requirements:

v  High School Diploma or equivalent

v  College degree or equivalent is preferred

Preferred Experience

v  Previous Machining experience

v  Conventional milling experience

v  Conventional lathe experience

v  CNC programming and operation experience
