Position Overview

McElroy is searching for an Administrative Assistant in our Bossier City, LA manufacturing facility.

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for performing and directing various divisional functions including accounting, inventory control and human resources and for the coordination of these functions with the appropriate corporate department and/or personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees processes that ensure proper completion of daily, weekly and monthly administrative requirements; includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll accounting, cash management, fixed assets and financial analysis for division
  • Proficient Knowledge of all HR related policies, practices and procedures including maintaining OSHA log and coordinating appropriate information to corporate safety department
  • Coordinate annual manufacturing plant fixed asset inventory and reporting fixed asset changes throughout year to corporate accounting department
  • Coordinates division employment process, communicates company benefit programs, and maintains local personnel records
  • Coordinates payroll function with corporate payroll department
  • Office coordinator for phone system, mail, office machines and any office maintenance contracts; Coordinator of office supply procurement
  • Have a clear understanding of all operational aspects throughout the facility. Understanding of all operational procedures and policies. The knowledge of plant processes enables a better understanding of the back end administrative tasks performed and managed
  • Ability to work within and continually learn computer environments (ie, JDE & Ship Trak) that are significant part of successfully completing daily requirements


  • Intermediate skills or above in all Microsoft office products, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational skills. Any/all documents requested should be readily available. Should be fluent in all company policies & procedures, and know how to quickly obtain pertinent documents that are related to each one
  • Attention to detail is important for this role. This person gathers, sorts, and processes many types of invoices & documents on a daily basis
  • Should have keen insight and remarkable acumen in all business matters, to certainly include financial documents


  • High School diploma required
  • Basic college level accounting or business courses or equivalent experience preferred
  • Prefer experience in providing direction of tasks and functions and in training support personnel
